A new chapter has begun

 一个人的时候, 在陌生的街头, 抬头看着繁星夜垂的天空,
I know I know, 地球另一端有你陪我
谢谢你鼓励我, 勇气是你给我, 让我迈开脚步一起往前走,
I know I know, 你是我的ok绷,
在每一个时候, 一直陪着我.

Psalm 37:23-25

23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, And He delights in his way
24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the LORD upholds him with His hand.
25 I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread.

What are you trading your life for?

We often hear from people that they have been busy with their lives, and weeks after weeks, busy-ness is always on their lips.

Busy-ness, it makes me pause and ask myself this: what are you busy for?

Our life is defined by the time we had. So, what am I trading my life for?

Some people spent their lives building their career, working 8 to 5, and beyond, to establish their ambitions and at times, greed. Some spent their lives on studies, exams after exams, just to earn an entry pass to proceed to the next stage of their life.

Some spent their lives slacking, hooked on lan games, alcohol and cigarettes. Some spent their lives in regrets, never move on from their past, and always struggle with their thoughts.

Yes, career and studies are important. Leisure and entertainment are important. In fact, in life, there are so many things we want and we ought to do. But back to the very basics, what's the most important to us?

To me, the lives of others are important. For there is no un-do button to press on, and no way to buy time once it's up. I need to spend more time with my families and friends, loving them and building their lives. Why must it always be, when that person is no longer around, that we regret not loving him a little bit more?

Our purpose in life is important. We can work all we want, but are we meeting the purpose of why we existed in the first place? Are we hitting the bull's eye in every step we take? Does every decision we make bring us a little closer to our calling and destiny? Is our time spent fulfilling our destiny?

I got to spend my time wisely. How about you?
