I love Hacks

Woke up this morning with running nose, cough and phlegm.. These are symptoms that are similar to h1n1's symptoms. I was a little worried at first as I know I can't afford to fall ill, and I'm afraid that I will spread to others.

Nonetheless, I felt better now. Though I am still a little breathless and have occasional cough & running nose. Lol.

Just want to say a special thank you to all my friends who twitted me. Yes, I will drink more water and take care of myself. :)

Also, I keep eating Hacks Sweets (Regular). It's one of my secret formula in keeping sickness away from me. Every time when I have the "feeling", I will take Hacks, and indeed I felt better.

Farmville also helped. Every time when I see the beautiful farm and lovely animals, I felt better. Yea, indeed, FB rocks!

I shall get well soon!

A discerning heart

This has been my prayer since yesterday:

"Lord, increase my heart towards people, and at the same time, give me a discerning heart, that I will have the heart that discerns the acts, the speech and the spirit of people, and all things will be so crystal clear. God, reveal to me all the hidden things so that I can be more effective as Your worker."

And discernment only comes from the Holy Spirit.

I need to dwell in His presence even more and "hangout" with Him. This is what I will work on for this week. :)

FarmVille

I was inspired and in awe today when I see the crops and trees with lovely fruits growing healthy in my farm, ready for harvest!

And for a moment, a thought just struck me, that a few days ago, I was just doing my plowing and sowing, and though it seems like nothing is happening, but the seeds is growing, silently, underneath the earth.

Isn't this the same as reaching out, plowing into people's life, and sowing seeds of truth in them?

I know that it will not be an instant process, but I just got to keep doing, keep plowing, and one day, the harvest is going to be beautiful!

Stand

Yesterday's service was a life-changing one.

Pastor Lia shared about the 3 important things that we need to have in our life, in order to stand, till the end of the journey, and end it well.

1) Don't lose heart

2) Don't lose purity

3) Don't lose focus

In Acts 20: 24, Paul says: "But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God."

Fellowship of the Unashamed
I am a part of the fellowship of the Unashamed. I have the Holy Spirit Power. The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I won't look back, let up, slowdown, back away, or be still. My past is redeemed, my present makes sense,and my future is secure. I am finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tame visions, mundane talking, chintzy giving, and dwarfed goals.

I no longer need preeminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits, or popularity. I don't have to be right, first, tops, recognized, praised,regarded, or rewarded. I now live by presence, learn by faith, love by patience, lift by prayer, and labor by power.
My pace is set, my gait is fast, my goal is Heaven, my road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions few, my Guide is reliable, my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, deterred, lured away, turned back, diluted, or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.

I won't give up, back up, let up, or shut up until I've preached up, prayed up, paid up, stored up, and stayed up for the cause of Christ. I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I must go until He returns, give until I drop, preach until all know, and work until He comes.
And when He comes to get His own, He will have no problem recognizing me. My colors will be clear for "I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.." (Romans 1:16)

Every single word hit my heart, I felt a new faith rising up, and a new strength to keep on standing. Nothing is going to move me. I will not lose heart, I will not lose my purity, I will not lose focus. I will STAND, till my last breath.

Just brought a new book - Spiritual Leadership for the new millennium, by Dr.Cho Yonggi from bookstore! I want to learn more and grow :)

Yesterday was my first official duty at generation bookstore. I was looking forward to it as it's my passion to serve in the bookstore. Simply love books and CDs, and serving people, to get for them what they want. Looking forward to more duties and opportunities to make a difference in someone's life through bookstore ministry!

Glad to know Lucy and Arwin yesterday too!! also Nat, Oliver, Mike and Yansen!!! Miss you guys muchie.

Yuying Sec

Simply love all of you from Yuying Sec! It has been less than 2 months since the revivial started in Yuying Sec.

Yuying Sec 2009 @ Heart of God Church

It all started with one young man, Joelson, whose heart was turned to Jesus at the lowest point of his life, and a decision to come back to church.

With a new found life, he can't help but started to reach out to all his friends in Yuying sec. People like Terrance, Thng Xuan, Jing Ling, Zach, Swee Hong, Long Jie, Jian Kang, Brain, Kelvin, Jasmine, Joanne, Syu Lynn, Derrick, Keng Hoe, Geraldine, Celine and many more to come.

And I'm really proud to be in G3.

Truly, God is able to use us to reach the next generation. It's never too old to take the schools for Christ!

Raise up a generation of people who are willing to give God the best years of their lives, and God will use this generation to impact all levels of society and all walks of life!

A milestone in HoGc, a milestone in my life

My life just went up another level over the weekend. This weekend have been a milestone in HoGc, and a milestone in my life.

On Friday night, I was impacted by what Dr AR Bernard shared, being relevant to the world we live in, for greater is He who is in us, then in the world, therefore, go, and be relevant to the world, to love people, and to be outward looking, to live for others.

And on Saturday, I was impacted by what Pst How shared, no limitation. For the whole of last week, I was thinking of how to maintain the growth in G3, instead of obtaining new grounds. And during service, Pst How shared that as leaders, we should not be happy with just maintaining, but obtaining, and God speaks to me so vividly that, "why not maintain, but at the same time, obtain? We can do both at the same time."

It really challenges me to raise my thinking, and to think big, not to limit myself with a small mindset.

Happy but never satisfied.

And yesterday, the video of Dr AR Bernard really touches me, of how far we have came, and how Pst Lia & Pst How really build our church in the spirit.

Dr AR Bernard shared that Success is made up of 10% visible and 90% invisible. I was challenged to keep on plouging and sowing my life into people's lives, and keep working on my character to be more Christ-like.

All these laid a solid foundation for the next phrase of growth in my life. Now is the time!

Buzz & excitement is in the air! HoGc broke through a total of 1021 youths last weekend! More than just the numbers, I'm really excited about the lives impacted and changed, destiny re-written and purpose found.

God, I'm amazed at the work that you have called us to do in this church, and in each CG. We are at the tipping point. It's really exciting!

More than just living for ourselves, but living for others. Nothing beats seeing lives changed, 1 at a time.

Really love G3, every single one who make up the whole Cg. G3 is a unique Cg, even though everyone is different, but we are inclusive and we love and care for one another. We are going to break through 40 this week. We are ready. :)
